Mountain Hiking.
This is one of the must-do activities in Congo. Hiking one of the most active volcanic mountains on earth-Mount Nyiragongo, with a blazing crater lake. Mountain Nyiragongo is one of the eight mountains forming the giant Virunga chain of mountains and it is found near the historic Virunga national park.

The endangered mountain gorillas of Virunga national park and the Eastern lowland gorillas of Kahuzi-Biega national park. Gorilla trekking takes place all year, beginning with a briefing exercise by ranger guides before sunrise. Virunga National Park is one of Africa’s oldest and largest national parks, with a quarter of the world’s Mountain Gorillas living in the Virunga chain of mountains, as well as two active volcanic summits.
