Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Departures from Entebbe/Kampala City for drive to western Uganda
The 4-day best of Queen Elizabeth National Park safari departs from the beautiful City of Kampala or Town of Entebbe at about 7:00am. After briefing and introduction from the Safari guide, drive through the scenic Towns of Masaka, Mbarara, Bushenyi, Kasese to the entrance of Queen Elizabeth National Park. The transfer involves stops along the way for photography and leg stretching at Uganda Equator. Enter the Park and as we transfer to the Safari Lodge, the first game drive begins immediately where different animals-Uganda Kobs, African bush elephants, Defassa waterbucks, Cape buffaloes, Topis and many others will be encountered. Dinner and slumber at one of the most popular Safari Lodges or Tented Camps in Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Day 2: Full day of wildlife viewing in the spectacular Queen Elizabeth National Park
Wake up with the sun where the best sunrise views will be relished then embark on the first full day of game viewing in Queen Elizabeth National Park. On this beautiful morning, you will have the once in a lifetime opportunity of participating in a guided game drive led by an UWA Ranger guide. This is one of the must-do activities in this Park where Defassa waterbucks, Uganda Kobs, spotted hyenas, leopards, African bush elephants, lions, common warthogs, vervet monkeys, bushbucks, Olive baboons, Oribis and others. Drive back to the Safari Lodge for a well-earned brunch and spend the rest of the morning at the Lodge relaxing.
In the afternoon head to Mweya Peninsula to start the exploration of Kazinga Channel, looking for the Hippos, Nile crocodiles, Uganda Kobs, Defassa waterbucks and elephants relaxing in the cool waters or beautiful bird species. Retire to the Lodge by sunset, where dinner and slumber will be enjoyed.
Day 3: Chimpanzee trekking adventure in Kyambura Gorge
Today is dedicated to trekking chimpanzees, and this is the day where visitors are required to carry a lunch box, enough drinking water and trekking gear before making way to Kyambura Gorge. The trek not only gives an opportunity to see one of the habituated chimpanzee communities but also introduces you to other primate and bird species that call the Forest home. Spend about 5 hours in the forest and this also includes the one hour in their presence.
Spend your evening at the Lodge, while relishing views of other animals from the comfort of your private deck.
Day 4: Final day for the 4 days Queen Elizabeth NP Safari
Our last day in Queen Elizabeth National Park’s wilderness and time for a final early morning game drive in search of any wildlife species that may have been missed the previous days. After a hearty brunch, make way towards the Park gate for a scenic drive back to Kampala City, reaching in the evening.
